HAD been some time I took trip with me folks last one was to ooty this time we took a small trip more of travelling but was enjoy able, This time we were headed for a FLOWER SHOW at KALPETA near WAYNAD .. This shot is from the bus ... It also had been some time I travelled in one of em ' KSRTC buses .. was feeling a bit nauseating , but never the less looking forward to a bit of roller coasting ride in a away . We stared off for a bit about 7 :15 ish I guess .....I must have dozzed off for a while .. then was kinda in and out of sleep state ... till we reached ADIVARAM ... the stop just before the hair pin bends....

.I guess there where about 9 of them ...in total ... But as I was seated on the left side didn't get much views of all the shots looking down on the hair pin bends ... but manage as much as I could..Here are a few shots along the way :
Therse are shots that I shot from the bus while the bus was in motion ... It sure wasn't easy apart from all the shaking .. also the vegetation posed as a obstacle as there would be a nice open far out shot ..but would have trees in the foreground blocking the view .....I managed as much as I could
Almost at the top ..I guess about an hour more to go .. its almost 10 :00 am .. Monkey ... scenes along the way .....Breath taking shots while we climb our way up ..
Wayand is a tourist place and it shows ..As we walk up to the Flower show ..Many chicken littles being sold along the road side ..

The highlight of the show was Flowers .... frankly I am not a flower kind a person but ... when I saw these .. not only did I change my opinion about Flower Shows ... but also could not stop clicking away .. must have taken close 60 shots and to this day I feel it was not enough...
Different varieties of flowers I have never seen , also there was a watch tower kinda thing built in the middle ... 
THE STAR ATTRACTION : FLOWER BED
A wonderful mixture of colors !!!.. just could not get enough of all ....
Though it was a horticulture ...there were some elements that didn't quite fit in ...but never the less displayed .
One of which was a POLICE HISTORY STALL..
.OLD uniforms of the KERALA POLICE.. way back in 1983 .... OLD gadgets ranging from telephones to blow horns , medals and cups , lanterns etc...were on display ....
Even GUNS!
The other out of place stall was ... you wouldn't have guessed it unless I told ya !!! ... AN ANIMATION STALL..amdist a horticultural exhibit .... the things some institute will do to market themselves .....But I must say .. they did have crowd pulled in ... I guess they supposed to get a lot college students coming to see the flower show .. .. what ever , WHERE ever ... Animation is still crowd puller ..

There was a stall selling DRY BEEF .. it was not ready to eat but was ready to cook ...imported from the Middle east .from the looks of its packing ...EGG MUSEUM

We coming the the end of the show ... last few shots of the exhibit .. was more like a carnival .. it was about close to 12:30 pm when we got out of the place ... next was lunch and catch a bus back home .. but taking a different route

THIS WAS THE LAST CLIMB UP HILL .......after that it was plain country side ...
It was around 6:00 pm when we got back home .. over all the trip was fun refreshing looking out from the bus window to all those greenery out there and not mention the colorful scene of various flowers ..really made this trip worth while ..wasn't as tried as I thought i'd be taking in to consideration the bumpy bus ride ....I hadn't rode in a KSRTC for very long time .. may be that thrilled experience gave way to any fatigue or tiredness .. I expect to see more of Wayand and one day .. I shall return ....
